This is a great adventure relatively close to the bigger cities but less explored. Didi Abuli means big Abuli, and you see why when you approach the mountain from a distance. A high but accessible summit that offers 1400 vertical meters of skiing after some hard work during the ascent.
We approach Didi Abuli from the West, using the village of Buzaveti as a starting point. From here, you walk more or less straight east to the SE ridge up Didi Abuli. When reaching the flat summit ridge, choose your route carefully to have an easy track up to the summit. From here there are many descent options, but on this track we just return the route we skinned up.
